The event was a joint venture between the world-renowned Green School & Supercamp, the world leader in summer enrichment camps for students.

50 young leaders aged between 11yrs – 13 yrs flew down from all over the world to take part in this camp and learn the worlds best accelerated learning skills while building the values of a Global, Green Citizen.

The camp was extremely successful. Roger Hamilton’s team, the SuperCamp team and the Green School will be recreating the magic of Green SuperCamp in December 2011 with a Seniors camp for kids between the age group 14yrs – 17yrs.

Roger’s answer was an interesting one. He explained that the causes of the global financial crisis, which started with a bursting of the property bubble, have not been fixed, but that the result would not be another global crisis. Here’s Roger Hamilton with his explanation: “When demand for assets drop, there is no crisis if the person who owns it isn’t planning to sell. In Bali, where I live, you can’t get financing for property, so values rarely drop. People just hold on until the demand picks up again. The issue comes if there is a holding cost to the asset – because it is secured against other people’s money, like a mortgage. If that mortgage is secured against other instruments, like derivatives, you soon have a pack of cards as the holding cost of the asset multiplies all the way down the chain. Only one thing makes this happen – too much money, where financiers have no choice but to park it all behind too few assets.”

Roger Hamilton continues: “Since the crisis we have had an explosion in the amount of money in circulation. Governments have kept on printing to grease their economies, but it hasn’t created new jobs, it’s just got sucked up to the financiers who have parked it all behind assets again. We are in for a major crisis – but instead of it being global, it will be focused at the countries who have not built value as quick as they have printed money. The result is that many countries in the West will go bankrupt and countries in the East that have not been printing money but building assets will come in and buy cheap. It won’t be a crisis, but it will be the greatest transfer of wealth the world has ever seen.”
